Calculate VAT for goods and services in the UK
Value Added Tax (VAT) is a consumption tax levied on most goods and services sold for domestic consumption in the UK. It's charged at each stage of the supply chain where value is added.
Businesses must register for VAT if their taxable turnover exceeds £85,000 in a 12-month period. Once registered, they must charge VAT on their sales and can reclaim VAT on their purchases.
